Dr. Vorhies has a family practice that includes Cosmetics, Implants, Snoring/Sleep Apnea, and Invisalign Orthodontics. He moved to Toronto after graduating from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, and when his wife completed her degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto, they moved to Portland. They are the proud parents of three sons.
He has always been involved in continuing education and has earned the awards of Fellow and Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. Additionally, he was the first Oregon recipient of the Lifelong Learning and Service Award. Dr. Vorhies has been inducted into the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Vorhies has served in many local, state, and national leadership positions within the Oregon Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a team dentist for the Portland Winterhawks Hockey Team.
Beaverton Rotary Club, Oregon High School Hockey League, Donated Dental Service, Youth Exchange, and coaching various youth sports teams are among the many areas of community involvement that Dr. Vorhies enjoys. He has also been a dental volunteer in Mexico and Asia. The office participates with the annual Give Kids A Smile Day and the Portland Mission of Mercy (MOM).
Dr. Vorhies has been listed among Portland's Top Dentists by Portland Monthly Magazine since 2008.
A life-long native of Portland, Dr. Dan Miller approaches dentistry with a focus on prevention and overall health for his patients. By listening to his patient’s goals, Dr. Miller’s focus is to help his patients maintain a beautiful, healthy smile for a lifetime.
Dr. Miller earned his doctorate from Oregon Health and Science University. His philosophy of comprehensive care takes advantage of all progressive techniques and materials, supported by research, to find treatment solutions to help each individual patient make informed choices about their dental health.
He enjoys helping patients find the the smile they are happy with. His quality, long-lasting treatments includes esthetic tooth colored fillings, porcelain crowns, implants, removeable dentures, and Six Month Smiles orthodontics. Six Month Smiles helps patients easily create the smile they want in the time it takes between cleaning appointments.
Dr. Miller is passionate about being able to offer the best care for his patients. He commits himself to continuing professional education in family and cosmetic dentistry while enjoying opportunities to give back to his community. Dr. Miller is a volunteer at Give Kids A Smile and Medical teams international.
