Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays give us a clear look at what is happening beneath the gum line and inside each tooth — the areas a visual exam alone cannot show. At Cedar Creek Dental, digital sensors capture that image and display it on screen in about a second, using a fraction of the radiation older film required.

Why We Use Them

X-rays help identify decay between teeth, bone changes around the roots, and the position of teeth that haven't fully erupted. They're a routine part of exams, cleanings, and treatment planning, and are typically taken at intervals appropriate to each patient's history and risk.

Other Imaging On Site

• Panoramic X-Rays — one wide image of both jaws, the sinuses, and the jaw joints, taken in under twenty seconds with nothing in your mouth.
• CBCT Machine — three-dimensional imaging of the jaws for implant planning and complex endodontics, measurable and free of distortion.
• Apex Locators — electronic measurement of root canal length during endodontic treatment, with no extra X-ray exposure.
