Rotary Endodontics

Rotary endodontics uses a motor-driven handpiece and flexible nickel-titanium files to clean and shape the inside of a tooth's root canal system. Because the files flex with the canal's natural curve rather than fighting it, treatment can move more smoothly and predictably than with hand files alone. Why the Canal Shape Matters

Root canals are rarely straight. Curved or narrow canals are harder to clean thoroughly with rigid instruments, which is part of why flexible rotary files are widely used in modern endodontic care.

Supporting Technology in Our Office

• Apex Locators — measure each canal electronically to the correct working length, without extra X-ray exposure.
• Dental Operating Microscope — magnifies the tooth up to thirty times, helping locate canals and check the quality of the cleaning and shaping.
• CBCT Machine — provides distortion-free 3D imaging when a canal's anatomy is complex.
• Electric Handpieces — deliver steady torque for smoother, quieter cutting throughout the procedure.
